Meet the speaker

Sylvia Moore Myers is an inspiration of courage, healing, and beautiful transformation. After the loss of her teenage son, she embarked on an expansive 18-year journey to discover how to heal from grief, trauma, and pain associated with childhood woundings.

Certified as a Coach, Teacher, Trainer and Speaker with John Maxwell Leadership Team, Sylvia dedicated years to researching methods from the Grief Recovery Institute (GRI). Her discoveries led her to found two initiatives – 7toHeal and Gold Scars – which she now uses as a platform to speak across the nation about embracing life's struggles with grace.

With her warm and inviting presence, she encourages others to seek out healing with courage and action. Her story beautifully demonstrates that even the deepest wounds can be healed through tenacity and a willingness to move forward.

Sylvia’s latest book, Gold Scars: Why We Never Really Heal From Grief, Loss and Trauma! will be launching in the summer of 2023.

hear the message

Sylvia’s speech is not just about surviving the difficult times, but also about thriving in the aftermath of grief, loss, and trauma. She shares three powerful objectives that have helped her become a Gold Scar Survivor.

The first is to establish the courage to face your scars head-on. Sylvia encourages her audience to confront the pain and challenges that come with healing. The second objective is to accept the permanence of your scars. It’s important to recognize that the impact of grief, loss, and trauma will always remain in some way. Finally, Sylvia shares how to own your scars, name them, and mend them gold. By embracing and celebrating your scars, you can transform them into a source of strength and resilience.

Sylvia’s inspiring message reminds us that we have the power to turn our pain into something beautiful.
